Frequently asked questions
Why do I have to pay a monthly hosting fee?
What custom development services won't tell you is that they leave you with a crutch, even if you paid a lump sum to custom code your app, there will still be monthly costs for updates, server space, maintanence, content changes and more.
If I stop paying does my app get removed from the App Store and Google Play?
In order to maintain an active status with our servers and systems that power it and therefore properly function, you must maintain an active subscription.
Can I use one subscription for multiple apps?
You may absolutely have multiple apps under one account and access it from the same control panel, but each one of your apps will require it's own subscription to be submitted to the App Store and Google Play to be LIVE in the app stores and function properly.
Are there additional costs besides my subscription plan?
In order to get your app LIVE in the App Store and Google Play, both require that you have your own Apple and Google developer accounts. As of now, Google is a one time fee of $25 and Apple is a yearly fee of $99.
Can I publish my app with a free plan?
In order to get your app LIVE on the App store and Google Play, you will need to sign up for one of our paid plans. Our publishing team will handle submission for you, you will also gain access to our exclusive onboarding course that helps you with step by step directions on how to obtain your developer accounts!
Can I cancel at anytime?
Of course! Our subscriptions are monthly and all you would have to do to cancel is send an email to [email protected] 7 business days before your scheduled payment. All payments prior to cancellation email received are non-refundable. Once you cancel your services your app will no longer function and be removed from the App Store and Google Play.
How does the free trial work?
Alakazam Apps will provide access to our platform to build out your own mobile app for 14 days. During the 14 day trial period you will have access to our platform, features and functionality to finish your app. When you're finished building and want to publish to IOS and Android, you will need to pay for one of our subscriptions that suit your business needs.
How does a Concierge Set Up Package work?
To busy to build your app from scratch? We can help with that! Based on the package you choose we will use our robust platform to create a one of kind mobile application for you. After it's been approved in the appstores we will hand you over the control panel for you to edit and update your mobile app. We are a software company we don't manage, maintain or update your app but we can help you get the kick start you need and ensure it meets the app store requirements!
What's Alakazam University?
It is our client exclusive webinar tutorials that help you contextualize how to use the plugs in to make money with your mobile app. Anyone can have a great app, that doesn't mean it's profitable, just like all the websites in the worlds that aren't making money. We built Alakazam University to equip out clients with tools, ideas and strategy to utilize their mobile apps. Only clients on a subscription will have access to this University through their control panel.
Am I going to talk to someone?
Great question. We have an extraordainary onboarding process that step by step process to getting your app ready for submission and your channel of support will be through email to we can remain and transparant and effective conversation so you may hold us accountable of what you wanted your mobile application to look like. Every individial will get a welcome call from our onboarding specialist and will be sent our onboarding course that will walk you through the entire process, from start to finish.
How long will the process take from start to finish?
The mobile app building process should take no longer than 90 days, this is continigent on client due diligence to proivde us with the necessary information to submit their app to the app stores effectively and in a timely manner.
